In 1962, the Gates family began fulfilling their vision of preserving the American West’s open spaces by acquiring the A Bar A, Big Creek, and State Line Ranches. During the lifetime of Charlie Gates, he continued to work toward the preservation of the Western way of life, including Western art.
Today, ranch guests enjoy many sculptures collected or commissioned by Charlie. These beautiful pieces are a lasting tribute to the West, open spaces, and now to Charlie Gates.
